“What is a referral?”

In the real estate business, a referral means recommending a potential client to another real estate agent, usually in another city or country. For example, if a client tells their real estate agent in Puerto Rico that they want to buy a property in the Dominican Republic, the agent will contact a trusted colleague in that country and provide them with the client’s information to assist them.

It is a common practice among real estate agents to refer clients to each other when they are looking for properties outside of their geographical areas of expertise and licensing. This allows them to provide better service to clients by connecting them with a trusted local professional.

At Wolmeda, our policy is not to directly sell properties outside of Puerto Rico. Our agents are licensed to operate in this territory. If a client is looking to invest in another country, we refer them to colleagues in our international network of contacts. They will guide the client through the purchasing process in their jurisdiction. Wolmeda does not participate directly in those international transactions, only providing the initial contact and follow-up to the client as a courtesy.

¿Qué es un referido?

En el negocio de bienes raíces, un referido significa recomendar a un cliente potencial a otro agente inmobiliario, normalmente en otra ciudad o país. Por ejemplo, si un cliente le dice a su agente de bienes raíces en Puerto Rico que quiere comprar una propiedad en República Dominicana, el agente puente contactar a un colega de su confianza en ese país y enviarle los datos del cliente para que le asista.

Es una práctica común entre agentes inmobiliarios derivar clientes entre sí cuando buscan propiedades fuera de sus áreas geográficas de experiencia y licenciamiento. Permite brindar un mejor servicio al cliente al conectarlo con un profesional local de confianza.

En Wolmeda, nuestra política es no vender directamente propiedades fuera de Puerto Rico. Nuestros agentes están licenciados para operar en este territorio. Si un cliente busca invertir en otro país, lo que hacemos es referirlo con colegas de nuestra red internacional de contactos. Ellos serán quienes guíen al cliente en el proceso de compra en su jurisdicción. Wolmeda no participa directamente en esas transacciones internacionales, solo brinda el contacto inicial y seguimiento al cliente como cortesía.
